This title is a disservice to the story since what the title actually refers to is not an attack on titan, but rather the titan who is finally able to lead the human out of darkness and toward victory. English titles are not always a direct translation of the Japanese ones. The true meaning of titan is a titan that has always fought on for freedom, continuously advancing towards that goal of freedom. They just made it sounded better in English that way.。
